Eric Stewart
Eric is

at Oberlin College and is registered as a teacher trainer with the Yoga
Alliance (ERT-500). He has taught yoga in the US and around the world
for more than a decade and is appreciated for instruction that provides
people with a clear, comprehensive understanding of the practice. Eric
is skilled at offering a balance of space and structure, which allows
students to locate their own resources, to become self-motivated in learning.
This approach creates a yoga that is equally nourishing and challenging.
Over
the past two decades, Eric has explored the relationship of yoga with
the Buddhist practice of metta (lovingkindness), with somatic and manual
therapiesin particular, the Alexander Technique, the School for
Body-Mind Centering, Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulationand
with systems of ecological design such as Permaculture. From these diverse
influences, he has synthesized common, unifying elements to create a vibrant,
innovative and accessible method of yoga. It is an approach that seeks
the heart of the matter; that gets to the root of the practice. Email:

She has been involved with Solaluna since 2004 when she first took a work-study
position in exchange for classes there. As physical injury began to hinder
her musical pursuits, she discovered yoga as that which lets a person
be whole. After graduating with degrees in Music and Psychology, Chelsea
spent two years away from Oberlin, returning in 2008 for the express purpose
of studying with Eric and completing her yoga teacher training and certification.
Her teaching experience includes classes of restorative yoga, partner
yoga, and beginners' yoga, as well as advanced classes. She is available
and interested in working one-on-one in private sessions for individuals,
couples, families, or small groups. Chelsea currently lives in Cleveland,
while Solaluna remains her yoga home. When not teaching or practicing
yoga, she can be found working as a patient advocate at a family planning
clinic in Cleveland, enjoying food that came from dirt, having high-spirited
conversations, exploring, or sitting quietly. Email:
