Class Descriptions

Gentle/beginning yoga classes are designed for people with limited mobility or those recovering from injuries and/or illnesses.  Classes are structured after Integral Yoga classes as taught by Swami Satchidananda, which include chanting, asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), and meditation.  Often, restorative poses are used, which incorporate props such as blankets, blocks, knee bolsters, and sandbags.  Some classes are taught sitting in chairs; some involve all floor postures; and some are more challenging with standing poses and deep stretches.

Inner Core Maintenance is a high-energy fusion of Power Yoga and Pilates.  Focus is on developing core strength and endurance, along with balance and flexibility.  Prior experience with yoga or Pilates recommended.

Simple Yoga is an accessible, innovative method that helps people find freedom in their bodies and wholeness in their lives.  Simple Yoga uses the power of small, centered actions to support larger transformation.  It emphasizes coordination as a foundation for developing strength, flexibility, and overall integrity in the practice.
